INTERBANK HRYVNIA RATE DOWN BY 2 KOPECKS TO 8.08 UAH/USD
The hryvnia rate fell by 2 kopecks to 8.08 UAH/USD on the interbank currency market on Friday after an increase on Thursday.
According to currency dealers for commercial banks, the hryvnia's exchange rate fluctuated within 8.02-8.10 UAH/USD at the start of the trading, then narrowed to 8.05-8.08 UAH/USD, and rose to 8.06-8.12 UAH/USD by the end of the trading.
According to the market participants, the majority of deals were made at the rate close to 8.08 UAH/USD.
The National Bank set cut-off price at 10.17 UAH/EUR at the auction.
The hryvnia rate has fallen by 1.6% from 7.95 to 8.08 UAH/USD on the interbank currency market since the start of this year.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the hryvnia fell by 57.4% from 5.05 to 7.95 UAH/USD on the interbank market in 2008.
The hryvnia fell by 0.099% from 5.0450 to 5.0500 UAH/USD on the interbank market in 2007.
